Bible 105 Essay - 766 Words

Charles E Truitt JR Bible 105 Essay 1 In the beginning God intended for his people to live in a creation that he had made, and to love and take care of it. He wanted his people that he created to love him and be obedient to his plan for civilization in regards to how much he loves us. His will was for us to trust him and live in peace, in the creation that he had made for us to have dominion of. The thing is we could not identify with what God was doing for us even when the human race was in the beginning as we saw them in the garden of Eden. So if we could not have a good relationship with God who did all of this for us. Then how do we expect to have good human relationships with one another if we could not love what God had done†¦show more content†¦The bible says in â€Å"Proverbs 1: 5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels.† So let us not walk in foolishness and seek God’s wisdom in everything that we do because it says this as well about a fool in â€Å" Proverbs 1: 22 How long ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? And the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge. So let us chose wisdom and not folly and trust God. The times that we live in are changing everyday and the people except wrong as right and I know that God and the prophets are not pleased. We must understand that God is the same and his word says in â€Å" Malachi 3: 6 For I am the lord, I change not not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. That lets us know that God will deal with these things the same way he did back then. Just because times have changed God has not and the prophets would advise us to choose life and not death and turn from these things such as idolatry, social injustice, and religious ritualism. The prophets of old would remind us of God’s word when they tell us in his word what â€Å" Jeremiah said in 2:4 hear ye the word of the Lord, o house of Jacob, and all the families of t he house of Israel. He stressed the importance of teachers not only asking quality questions that guided a students thinking abilities but to also allow students the time they need to actually think through their observations to arrive at an answer they are most confident in (Reinhart, 2000). I liked his wait time approach, as it is important for us to always give our students time to process their understanding of the question to arrive at their answers rather than always asking a question and calling upon the first hand we see. I agree because often times, students who are timid do not want to be called on so they either do not complete the work to arrive at an answer and if they do not know the actual answer, they do not know the proper steps they need to take in order to arrive at the right answer. This method can be productive for both the students and the teacher. I can see some positive aspects of Reinharts position of a student-based teaching method. It promotes self-confidence in the stu dents. Students at this level are more peer-conscious and if
